QR Rondins

Rondins are verification patrols that a guard performs during their shift, passing through specific checkpoints inside the site. VigonOps verifies them using QR codes physically placed at each checkpoint.

Configure rondin checkpoints

  1. Go to Operations → Sites
  2. Open the site where you want to configure rondins
  3. Click "Rondin checkpoints"
  4. Add each checkpoint with:
    • Name — e.g., "Main entrance", "Level 1 parking", "Storage room"
    • Description — optional instructions for the guard

Each checkpoint generates a unique QR code. Print and laminate the QR codes to place them physically at each location in the site.

If a QR is damaged or lost, click "Regenerate QR" on the checkpoint — the previous code becomes invalid automatically.

How a rondin works

  1. The guard starts a rondin from the mobile app
  2. They patrol the site scanning each QR code with the phone camera
  3. The system records the exact time of each scan
  4. Upon completing the route, the rondin is logged with total time and all verified checkpoints

Viewing rondin history

In the site detail you can see the complete rondin history:

  • Date and time of each rondin
  • Guard who completed it
  • Checkpoints verified vs. total checkpoints
  • Duration of the patrol

:::warning Unscanned checkpoints If the guard finishes a rondin without scanning all checkpoints, the system marks it as incomplete. This is recorded in the history for review. :::
